Born and living in the Netherlands, Jelmer has been playing instruments since he was a little kid.

He started with piano when he was around 5-6, when he got a toy keyboard from his grandfather.

He went to a pianoteacher that was not fun. He only learned some stupid songs, and the guy was not nice so Jelmer quit.

Then, at some later point in time, he started again with Keyboards, broadening his musical mind with the different layers in music. Geert Keysers was the lucky guy to train him, but.. when Jelmer was around 11-12, Geert quit giving lessons because he had married and was living somewhere else. He also toured a lot, which made it hard to always be there for students.

Jelmer didn't touch instruments for 1 year, but that summer he started playing again.

Then had lessons with Wilma Tellings, in a studio just walking distance from his home. This is also the time where he started guitar. (Jelmer has never had any guitar lessons). Nowadays Jelmer doesn't get lessons, not guitar, not piano.

Semi-professional on Piano and Guitar, and every other instrument he gets in his hands will be played somewhat. He plays Jazz, Alternative, Rock, etc. You can not really give his music an genre. He tries to be as diverse as possible, and the music is a mix between lots of styles, influenced by music from all over the world. He plays a lot of covers, but Jelmer thinks covering songs (as long as it doesn't have a less value on the original song) lets the original artist know you love the song very much.

Jelmer is open for questions, suggestions, fans, love, friendship, enemies (To have a nice conversation with) and everyone not catogorised above.

Jelmer is currently studying TVWO, a course of bi-lingual education, where he gets almost every subject in English. Jelmer's hobbies are Music, sitebuilding, computers, technological stuff, and anime/manga (acutally everything in japanese popculture).
